Oaklyn P.D. Seek Help ID'ing Apt. Burglars

At the end of September, two men allegedly entered the basement of a Bettlewood Ave. apartment building and removed some $13,000 in appliances and scrap metal.

Oaklyn Police are seeking help in the investigation of a burglary and theft at the Bettlewood Commons apartment complex (125 E. Bettlewood Ave., Oaklyn) that resulted in the loss of some $13,000 worth of appliances and scrap metal.

Sometime between Sept. 28 and 29, two men were seen entering the basement of the apartment building, where the equipment was being stored during renovations. One is described as 50-60 years old, about 5 feet, 10 inches and 200 pounds, with a gray beard. The other is estimated to be between 30 and 40, about 6 feet, 1 inch and 250 pounds.

According to police, the subjects were allegedly assisted in the act by Jane Still, a tenant at the complex. They may be operating a gray or silver older model Ford pickup truck.
