Oaklyn Police Arrest Suspect in Apt. Burglary

David A. Johnson, 61, was arrested Friday in connection with the September 29 burglary.

Earlier this week, Oaklyn police asked for help from the public in tracking down a pair of suspects involved in the Sept. 29 burglary and theft of some $13,000 of appliances and scrap metal from a Bettlewood Avenue apartment building.

On Friday, Oaklyn detectives arrested David A. Johnson, 61, of Camden, NJ in connection with the incident. Surveillance camera footage taken at the scene ultimately linked him to the act, according to a press release issued Friday by the Oaklyn police department.

Johnson was charged with theft and burglary; unable to meet his $22,500 bail, he was remanded to the Camden County Correctional facility pending a court hearing.
