Police Blotter: Breakin' In

Burglary
Sometime in the overnight hours of September 30, a resident in the 200 block of South Atlantic Avenue reported that her 46-inch flat-screen television, valued at $600, had been removed from her home, which had been unsecured at the time. Detectives processed the scene for evidence; the investigation is ongoing.

Burglary
Sometime in the overnight hours of Sept. 29, a person or persons forced their way into the first floor of a residence in the 600 block of W. Collings Ave. Police believe the intruders entered through a window and allegedly stole a television and a painting. Detectives processed the scene for evidence; the investigation is ongoing.

Attempted Burglary
Sometime between Sept. 29 and Oct. 7, someone attempted to pry open the screen on a rear window of the Salon Beau Monde. The Collingswood Detective Bureau discovered latent fingerprints at the scene, which were sent to the NJ State Police Crime Lab for processing.

Vehicle Burglary
Between 4 and 8 p.m. on Sept. 27, unknown actors smashed the window of a Nissan Altima parked behind the Dunkin Donuts on Route 130, making off with loose change and a cell phone that belonged to a store employee. Detectives processed the scene for evidence; the investigation is ongoing.

Theft
An employee from the Heights of Collingswood reported the theft of a toolbox with an assortment of tools as well as a cordless power drill, all of which had been located in the B Tower electrical room. Detectives processed the scene for evidence; the investigation is ongoing.

Vehicle Theft
At 3 p.m. Oct. 3, while on routine patrol in the 900 block of Eldridge Ave., officers located an unoccupied Jeep Grand Cherokee that was found to have been stolen out of Camden City. Deshaun Evans, 35, of Camden City, was arrested in connection with the incident. Evans was charged with receiving stolen property and was remanded to the Camden County correctional facility on $5,000 bail.
