Argument Escalates into Stabbing Friday Night

Two roommates got into a heated discussion that sent one to the hospital and the other to jail.

A bitter argument over an electric bill resulted in a house call from Collingswood Police Friday night, when one man attacked his roommate in an apartment in the 400 block of Haddon Ave.

At 7:50 p.m. on September 21, officers were dispatched to a private residence to investigate the report of a fight. Upon arrival they made contact with the caller, a 42-year-old male, who appeared to be suffering from multiple stab wounds.

The victim had been stabbed in upper chest and abdomen with a small-bladed kitchen knife. He was transported to Cooper Univeristy Hospital in Camden for treatment, and although his condition is unknown at this time, police do not believe his wounds to be life-threatening.
