Services Set For Longtime Collingswood World War II Vet

Arthur C. McGuire, age 94, of Southampton, NJ, passed away on October 26, 2019. Born in Boston, Mass., Mr. McGuire was raised in Collingswood, NJ and was a lifelong resident of South Jersey. He served his country in World War II in the U.S. Army Air Forces, stationed in England as a radio operator on B-17s and flying in more than 30 missions over Germany.

A Temple University graduate on the GI Bill, he had many jobs over his career, including high school teacher and insurance sales, completing his career working for the New Jersey Department of Labor. Mr. McGuire lived for a number of years at the Jersey Shore and was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by a son, Curtis Crane, of Mount Laurel, NJ. He is pre-deceased by his parents, Arthur C. McGuire, and Louise M. McGuire (nee Norton), a sister, Mary Louise Silverman, and a niece, Gwenn L. Silverman.
