Thieves Hit Landscapers in Collingswood, Police Say
Once again, working outside apparently is a cue for alleged criminals to help themselves to anything that's not bolted down.

Last month we brought you the stories of a pair of Collingswood residents who were victimized in April and JulyΒ by burglars while they maintained the exteriors of their homes.
The same thing happened over the Fourth of July weekend to a professional landscaping crew that reported the loss ofΒ nearly $1400 in lawn equipmentβgear stolen while they worked.
At 1:30 p.m. on July 3, landscapers cutting a lawn in the 1000 block of Collings Avenue took theirΒ equipment from the rear of the truck and placed it on the sidewalk while they worked, Collingswood police said.Β

They returned to use the toolsβa $650 blower, $400 trimmer andΒ $330 weed whackerβand discovered the equipment was gone.
Police have no suspects in the incident.
