Thieves Hit Landscapers in Collingswood, Police Say

Last month we brought you the stories of a pair of Collingswood residents who were victimized in April and July by burglars while they maintained the exteriors of their homes.

The same thing happened over the Fourth of July weekend to a professional landscaping crew that reported the loss of nearly $1400 in lawn equipment—gear stolen while they worked.

At 1:30 p.m. on July 3, landscapers cutting a lawn in the 1000 block of Collings Avenue took their equipment from the rear of the truck and placed it on the sidewalk while they worked, Collingswood police said. 

They returned to use the tools—a $650 blower, $400 trimmer and $330 weed whacker—and discovered the equipment was gone.

Police have no suspects in the incident.
