3 DWIs Issued In Cranford This Month: Arrest Blotter
Cranford Police is taking part of the 'Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over' initiative to crack down on drunk driving this holiday season.
CRANFORD, NJ — While Cranford Police Department is cracking down down on drunk driving this December, three DWI arrests were already issued this month.
Police from Cranford and other towns across New Jersey are conducting saturation patrols and sobriety checkpoints through Jan. 1, looking for people who are driving while intoxicated as part of the "Drive Sober Or Get Pulled Over 2022 Year End Holiday Crackdown."
Here are the DWI arrests that occurred in Cranford this past month, according to police:

- A 52-year-old Rahway man driving a 2016 silver Toyota was arrested on Dec. 8 at around 3:30 a.m. for driving while intoxicated, police said. The man was stopped in the parking lot of a business located at the 500 block of Centennial Avenue, police said. The driver was processed and provided a municipal court appearance date.
- A 21-year-old Cranford man was pulled over by Cranford Police on Dec. 11 at around 12:49 a.m. on Springfield Avenue at North Union Avenue for multiple moving violations, police said. The man was arrested for driving while intoxicated and was provided a municipal court appearance date, police said. He was also issued motor vehicle summonses for careless driving, failure to keep right and failure to submit to breath testing.
- A 53-year-old Warren Man was arrested on Dec. 15 at around 5:04 p.m. after a report of a suspicious 2008 black Honda on Pershing Avenue, police said. Officer Daniel Norton arrested the man for driving while intoxicated. He was then processed and provided a municipal court appearance date, police said.
