Centennial Village’s 7th Annual Music Festival Expected to Draw Hundreds

This year’s seventh annual Music Festival, which features live music from Cranford locals, is expected to draw about 400 visitors, according to Chiara Siliato of the Centennial Village Group.

Saturday's musicians include several Cranford High School students who will sing or perform with a band, as well as local artists, Stupid Should Hurt, Joyous Noise and Clark Street.

In addition to the music, there will be a performance by the Cranford Dramatic Club and a one-hour yoga session courtesy of Alleum Yoga on the lawn.

“This is a great event for Cranford as it exemplifies what Cranford is about, Community,” Siliato said. “It brings people together of all ages while raising money for a good cause. I am always amazed with the generosity of Cranford residents!”

All proceeds from the event will go directly to the Centennial Avenue Business District. There will be a silent auction and 50/50 at the festival, but admission is free.

“The Centennial Ave business district is a booming area,” Siliato expressed. “We are very proud of what it has become.”

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and sit back and enjoy the live music. The 7th Annual Centennial Village Music Festival will run from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Lincoln Avenue School.

The Centennial Village Group hosts two fundraisers each year, which include the Centennial Village Music Festival in September and the CVG 5k in June.
