Cranford To Host Blood Drive This Month

Low blood supply has advocates pushing for donors to come out and give blood.

CRANFORD, NJ — Cranford is hosting a blood drive on Nov. 29.

The drive will be held at the Cranford Community Center from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The drive is offering donors the chance to win a $1,500 shopping spree at Target or Walmart as well as other 2nd and 3rd place prizes.

Genevieve Toscano, a spokesperson for the New Jersey Blood Services, a division of New York Blood Center said, "Our blood supply should be at 5 to 7 days however it is currently at a 1 – 3 day level."
