Rain Garden Will be Installed at Cranford Municipal Building
The town is one of several in New Jersey to receive a sustainable jersey grant through Wal-Mart.

The Town of Cranford has received a Sustainable Jersey Small Grant in the amount of $2,000 to be used towards sustainability projects.
The grant will assist the Green Team in their effort to increase sustainability throughout the township and will include the installation of a rain garden at the Municipal Building.
“The rain garden will be installed at the front of our municipal building and will complete our recovery effort of the Municipal Complex as well as be an example to our community of this beautiful and beneficial storm water management practice,” Mayor Tom Hannen said.
He also thanked the Environmental Commission for writing the grant application.
The Sustainable New Jersey Grants are partly funded by Walmart and provide $380,000 in grants to local governments for sustainability projects.
