The Garibaldi Guard Lecture: “Historian Mark Luongo will present a program on the origins of the 39th New York Volunteer Infantry Regiment--also known as the Garibaldi Guard--and its participation in the War Between the States, 1861-1865. Mr. Luongo will discuss the involvement of immigrants in the war, the regiment's uniforms and equipment, their renegade colonel, and their heroic major,” according to the Cranford Historical society. Admission is free at the Cranford Community Center at 7:30 p.m.

Free Market Warrior: A presentation by Loren Spivack about the United States Constitution and its relation to current events will be held at the Union County Tea Party meeting at 7:30 p.m. at the Rustic Mill Diner in Cranford.
