A look at what's happening this week in Cranford:

Patch will take a look at the Roosevelt School fireplace’s new home at the Cranford Community Center.

Halloween Scooptacular:
Little Scoops will host a Halloween affair with spooky sundaes, trick-or-treat bags, arts and crafts, face painting and even a dance party! The event will run from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Register online for the event.  

New Township Admin?: The Township committee will be hosting interviews on Tuesday for the position of Township Administrator. These will be closed session meetings, where formal action may be taken.

Elections: On Oct. 16 a special election will be held to fill the vacant New Jersey senate seat. Also, Oct. 15 is the last day to register to be able to vote in the Nov. 5 general election.

Girls Volleyball (away) vs. Westfield at 4 p.m., Girls Soccer vs. Kent Place (away) at 4 p.m. Girls Tennis (Away) vs. New Providence at 4 p.m. Boys Soccer vs. Linden (Home) at 4 p.m. Field Hockey vs. Millburn (Home) at 4 p.m. Oct. 17:  Field Hockey vs. Glen Ridge (away) at 4 p.m. Girls Tennis vs. Elizabeth (away) at 4 p.m. Girls Soccer vs. Westfield at 4 p.m., Girls Volleyball vs. Golda Och (away) at 4 p.m. Oct. 18: Girls Tennis vs. South Brunswick (away) at 4 p.m. Oct. 19: Girls Volleyball vs. New Brunswick (away) at 12 p.m., Football vs. Scotch Plains (away) at 2 p.m.

Four Centuries in a Weekend: The Crane-Phillips house will be a part of Union County’s annual, “Four Centuries in a Weekend” event. Read more about it, here
