A son faces charges in his father's death and police search for a driver who drove off after hitting a school bus.
NEW JERSEY — Two people were found dead in a garage and two teens were hospitalized with critical brain injuries over the final weekend of January. Here's a look at the incidents reported across the Garden State over the weekend:
2 People Found Dead In Garage
A man and a woman were found dead in a garage in Trenton on Saturday, authorities said.

Police received a 911 call around 12:04 p.m., reporting two dead people inside a garage on Chambers Street. According to authorities, the man and woman were homeless from the area and were living in the garage.
According to initial investigation, no foul play was believed to have occurred. The Middlesex County Medical Examiner’s Office is conducting an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

The identity of the man and woman has not been released pending family notification.
Son Charged In Connection With Father’s Death
A 23-year-old East Windsor man has been charged in connection with his father’s death, authorities said Friday.
Yu Chavarria is charged with one count of second-degree manslaughter.
On Thursday, East Windsor police responded to a home on Twin Rivers Drive North around 7 a.m., on a report of an unconscious male.
On arrival, officers found a tenant of the property, identified as 58-year-old Edgar Chavarria, on the kitchen floor bleeding from the head and face, authorities said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to investigation, father and son got into a verbal argument on Thursday morning that turned into a physical altercation, with Yu Chavarria striking his father in the face multiple times with his fist and then once with his head, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said.
The prosecutor’s office has filed a motion to detain Chavarria pending trial.
Suspect Wanted In Hit-and-Run Involving School Bus
Authorities are looking for a suspect who was involved in a hit-and-run with a school bus on Friday.
On Friday around 8 a.m., a black pickup truck hit a school bus with students on board and fled the scene in Sandyston, Sussex County.
The incident occurred on Rt. 206 south near Stokes State Forest., authorities said. The driver and students suffered no injuries.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the New Jersey State Police.
Two Teens Injured In Crash
Two teens were seriously injured in a car crash on Friday night according to media reports.
The two teens and two others were in the car when it hydroplaned and hit a tree in Middle Township, according to a GoFundMe.
Driver Omni Smigliani was hospitalized and underwent an emergency craniotomy. He is currently in an induced coma and in critical condition, according to the GoFundMe page.
Front seat passenger Charlie Omrod suffered a traumatic brain injury of the right side, skull fractures, brain bleed, along with a fractured leg, according to the GoFundMe.
The two teens in the backseat suffered minor injuries, according to NJ.com.
