Who doesn't love the 1980s? The East Brunswick Arts Coalition and the East Brunswick Public Library Foundation team up for the "80s Retro Rewind" event on Sunday, September 22 from noon to 4:00 pm.

Held at the East Brunswick Public Library (2 Jean Walling Civic Center Drive), it is a special afternoon celebrating the decade known for neon colors, big hair, amazing pop music and more. "80s Retro Rewind" will have music, food, a session of Jazzersize, gaming, collectible vendors and other activities for attendees to enjoy.

The event features a ticketed presentation with Muriel Fahrion, the original designer and illustrator of Strawberry Shortcake as well as the Care Bears and Get Along Gang. Her work has been featured on toys, greeting cards, clothing and other products for the past six decades. Fahrion is still going strong and creating new artwork and characters.

Muriel will be speaking from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a question and answer session. That will be followed by a meet and greet at 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
