Hazardous Weather Outlook, Flood Watch Issued For East Brunswick
Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds and heavy rain, the National Weather Service said. See what's on the forecast:
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Forecasters are predicting severe thunderstorms and fierce winds on Monday for East Brunswick.
Thunderstorms are possible this afternoon, and through the evening, with the possibility of hail and damaging winds, according to Accuweather.
Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds and heavy rain. This weather will continue into Tuesday, where more showers and thunderstorms are expected, according to the National Weather Service.

A flood watch is also in effect from 2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations, the NWS said.
Showers and thunderstorms are already entering the area Monday morning, but the main event is expected to travel from west to east starting at 2 p.m., with the greatest severe thunderstorm potential to come after 4 p.m., the weather service said.

- Monday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 5 p.m. Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds and heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 87. Southeast wind 5 to 15 mph. Tonight, showers and thunderstorms before midnight, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between midnight and 3 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 a.m. Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds and heavy rain. Patchy fog between midnight and 3 a.m. Low around 65. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west in the evening.
- Tuesday: A chance of showers, then showers and thunderstorms likely after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. South wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. On Tuesday night, showers and thunderstorms before 2 a.m., then a chance of showers. Low around 65. South wind around 5 mph.
- Wednesday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 80. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
