​Ice-Related Systems Design Contract Awarded For East Brunswick Ice Rink ​

The township received three proposals for the bid.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – On Monday, Council adopted a resolution authorizing a $58,355 contract to Wisconsin-based B32° Engineering Group to design ice-related systems at the proposed ice rink.

The ice rink will be located at the old Wonder Bread site at Tices Lane.

The Township received three proposals for the bid - B32° Engineering Group, IMEG Consultants Corp., and CME Associates.

IMEG Consultants Corp., and CME Associates quoted $ 62,000 and $286,768 respectively for the design work, while B32° Engineering Group quoted $58,355.

According to the resolution, the Township has the funds to pay for the contract.

The company is “responsible for the design, bidding, and the specific technical construction management for the ice-related systems at the East Brunswick Ice Rink; and that the contract period for the said project shall not exceed a period of eight (8) months,” according to the resolution.

The proposed arena will bring ice hockey and skating to the township, and is being designed by DMR Architects.
