Jewish New Jersey in Vintage Photographs
Oscar Israelowitz will take the audience on a fascinating tour of New Jersey while highlighting Jewish history throughout the state

Photographer and historian Oscar Israelowitz is the East Brunswick Public Library’s special guest for the online program “Jewish New Jersey in Vintage Photographs” on Wednesday, April 2 at 7:00 pm.
Israelowitz will take the audience on a fascinating tour of New Jersey while highlighting Jewish history throughout the state. There are stops in the major cities like Newark, Trenton and Patterson, as well as the Jewish farm communities of Woodbine and the Vineland region.
He explores the history of the Jersey Homesteads and see the famous Ben Shawn murals. The historic tour ends with stops at the resort communities of Lakewood and Atlantic City. This program will "hit home," and bring back wonderful memories since many grew up in many of the aforementioned locals.

Israelowitz is the author of Secrets of the New York City Subway and several other books about New York and New Jersey history. He is a photographer, lecturer and tour guide. His photographs have been exhibited at the Whitney Museum, The New York City Transit Museum and Brooklyn Historical Society.
