Kids' Storytime And Crafting With Milltown Animal Rescue Group

Feb. 16 from 1-3 p.m.: Members of the rescue group will be reading animal-themed books and then help children create fun cat toys. RSVP.

MILLTOWN, NJ – Join Karma Cat + Zen Dog Rescue Society for a fun afternoon of stories and crafting at its Milltown Adoption Center on South Main Street on Saturday, February 16 from 1-3 p.m.!

The event is open to children ages 5-12. Members of the rescue group will be reading animal-themed books and then helping children create fun cat toys to take home. Space is limited and registration ends February 11; you must register by emailing info@karmacatzendog.org or visiting the event’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/events/400630503811824/.

There is no fee for this event, but donations made during the event are always welcome and appreciated. This will take place at their Milltown shelter at 39 South Main Street in Milltown.

The mission of the Karma Cat + Zen Dog Rescue Society is to provide a safe and peaceful haven for homeless, abandoned or abused animals. They opened their Milltown shelter this past July.

They want to help decrease the number of cats and dogs being destroyed in kill shelters.

“We’re very excited to host this family-friendly event,” said Development Director, Rebecca Smith. “We recently opened our Milltown Adoption Center last July, and we’re always looking for ways to connect with the community and have fun together.”
