Englewood School Calendar 2018-19: First Day of School, Vacations

ENGLEWOOD, NJ — The first day of school in Englewood is September 4 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Englewood District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates, such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 8/28 - 8/29: New Teacher Orientation
• 8/30 - 8/31: All-Staff Teacher Orientation

September

• 9/4: First Day of School
• 9/10: No School (Rosh Hashanah)
• 9/19: No School (Yom Kippur)

October

• 10/8: No School (Staff Professional Development Day)
• 10/10 - 10/11: JDMS Half Day (Parent/Teacher Conferences)
• 10/16 - 10/17: Quarles Half Day (Parent/Teacher Conferences)
• 10/24 - 10/25: High School Half Day (Parent/Teacher Conferences)

November

• 11/1 - 11/2: McCloud Half Day (Parent/Teacher Conferences)
• 11/6: No School (Staff Professional Development Day)
• 11/8 - 11/9: No School (NJEA Convention)
• 11/13 - 11/14: Grieco Half Day (Parent/Teacher Conferences)
