Englewood Teachers Of The Year Honored

'These awards highlight the incredible work they do every day in our schools educating our students,' Superintendent Robert Kravitz said.

ENGLEWOOD, NJ — Five city teachers and five support staff were honored by the Board of Education Thursday.

Five teachers of the year, one at each school, were honored:

  • Theresa Manziano, D.A. Quarles Early Childhood Center
  • Theodora Murphy, Dwight Morrow High School
  • Martine Marcellus, Janis E. Dismus Middle School
  • Amy Lupardi, McCloud Elementary School
  • Jennifer Gutierrez, Grieco Elementary School

Educational support personnel of the year at each school were also honored:

  • Kelly Knight, Quarles Early Childhood Center
  • Kate Drumgoole, Dwight Morrow High School
  • Denise Londono, Janis E. Dismus Middle School
  • Delores Dalrymple-Williams, McCloud Elementary School
  • Pamela Humphrey, D.A. Quarles Early Childhood Center

The award winners were nominated by the district administrative team, members of the Englewood Teachers Association, and the district Parent Teacher Organization.

"Our district makes it a priority to hire the best possible teachers in the state for our students, and that commitment has improved the educational experience for all of our children," said Superintendent Robert Kravitz. "We have many faculty throughout the district that go above and beyond, and I am very grateful for their dedication."
