One Fort Lee Man Arrested, One at Large in ID Theft Case
Fort Lee Police have arrested one man in connection to a $100,000 identity theft, and are still looking for his partner.

Fort Lee Police have arrested Khalid J. Sumbry in connection to a $100,000 identity theft, and are still looking for his alleged partner, Shuron Reed.
A police search of Khalid J. Sumbry and Shuron Reed’s apartment in connection with an investigation begun July 10, when the Fort Lee Police recovered a rental car obtained using fraudulent credit cards.
A later search of their Central Road apartment revealed fake drivers’ licenses, credit cards, and blank checks, along with a handgun with a defaced serial number.

Sumbry, 32, was apprehended in Brooklyn and extradited to New Jersey on Wednesday. He is being held in the Bergen County Jail. He faces 39 counts of theft by deception and 40 counts of forgery, possession of forgery devices, trafficking in identities of others, credit card theft/fraud and identity theft.
Reed, 21, is accused of at least 40 fraudulent withdrawals from Wells Fargo banks throughout New Jersey and Connecticut. He could also face charges of possession of forgery devices and a defaced handgun.
