Teen Shot Dead At Jersey Shore

MAYS LANDING, NJ – Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that took place in Atlantic City early Sunday morning.

At around 3:33 a.m., Atlantic City police officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Atlantic Avenue for a report of a shooting, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement.

The victim, identified as Tamaj Bennett, 19, of Atlantic City, was transported to an area hospital where he died of his injuries, police said.

The incident is currently being investigated and an autopsy is pending, police said.
