EBT Cards Stolen, Used By Atlantic County Employee: Prosecutor
The Atlantic County Department of Family and Community Development clerk took three EBT cards and spent nearly $2,500, authorities said.
MAYS LANDING, NJ — An Atlantic County government employee is accused of stealing EBT cards from her workplace and using them illegally to spend nearly $2,500 in benefit funds, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said.
Adriana D. Quirindongo, 43, from Egg Harbor City, worked as a clerk for the Atlantic County Department of Family and Community Development, authorities said.
An investigation was launched in November of 2024 when the department contacted the prosecutor's office after discovering that an EBT benefit card was compromised by an employee, authorities said.

Quirindongo was found to have taken three EBT cards from her workplace and completed 17 unlawful transactions, depriving the rightful card owners of $2,490.06 in benefit funds, officials said.
She is charged with official misconduct, pattern of official misconduct, theft by unlawfully taking and unlawfully receiving a benefit.
