Galloway Man Shoots Himself By Accident With His Own Handgun
Man had to be taken to AtlantiCare Medical Center

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ - A Galloway man who accidentally shot himself with his own gun was taken to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center on Saturday evening, Sgt. Eric Hendrickson said.
Police responded to a home in the 500 block of South Pitney Road at 6:48 p.m. on Jan. 27 on a report of a shooting.
When they arrived, they determined that the victim had shot himself accidentally with his Sig Sauer .357 handgun. Police applied a tourniquet to control the bleeding.

Members of the Galloway Township First Aid Squad and AtlantiCare paramedics took the victim to AtlantiCare Medical Center's city division with non-life-threatening injuries, Hendrickson said.
