A Pennsylvania man has been charged in connection with bank robberies in Camden, Burlington and Atlantic counties.

EVESHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Pennsylvania man has been charged in a string of robberies that took place in Atlantic, Burlington and Camden counties, authorities announced on Friday.

Chris LeBlanc, of Norristown, Pennsylvania, was arrested on Thursday after police say he robbed a Citizens Bank on Route 70 in Medford. He was later spotted in Evesham Township, according to Medford police.

After a brief encounter with Evesham Township police, LeBlanc was arrested and the money he stole from the bank was recovered, police said.

Detectives interviewed LeBlanc, and he admitted to numerous bank robberies in Burlington, Camden, and Atlantic counties, police said.

Two of the robberies took place at banks located inside Camden County supermarkets, Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer, Acting Runnemede Police Chief William Sampolski, and Winslow Township Police Chief George Smith said Friday afternoon.

He has been charged in robberies that took place at the PNC Bank inside the ShopRite at 542 Berlin Cross Keys Road in Winslow on July 16; and at the Citizen's Bank inside an Acme on Evesham Road in Runnemede on July 13, according to authorities.

In each incident, LeBlanc passed a note to the teller in which he threatened to shoot them if they didn't give him money in specific denominations, authorities said.

In the second robbery, he was caught on surveillance video leaving the bank with an unspecified amount of money and got into a dark-colored Hyundai SUV, which was parked in the supermarket parking lot, authorities said.

LeBlanc was charged with robbery, terroristic threats, and theft in Medford Township and was committed to Burlington County Jail pending a detention hearing next week.

It wasn't clear what bank robberies LeBlanc was connected to in Atlantic County. He was also wanted on federal warrants for escape and parole violation.
