Man Dies On NJ Transit Tracks In Hammonton: Report

The man's identity has not been released and the incident is under investigation.

HAMMONTON, NJ - A man was killed on Wednesday evening after he was struck by an Atlantic City Rail Line train just west of the Hammonton Station.

A NJ Transit spokesman told the Press of Atlantic City the "trespasser" was hit by a train heading east towards Atlantic City, near the Passmore Avenue grave crossing.

NJ Transit has not released his identity. None of the 250 passengers and crew member were injured in the 5:55 p.m. accident. But rail service was temporarily suspended between the Egg Harbor Township and Hammonton stations in both directions.
