Man Found Shot Dead In South Jersey Apartment Complex: Prosecutor

HAMILTON TWP., NJ — A homicide investigation has been launched after a Mays Landing man was found dead at a Hamilton Township apartment complex over the weekend, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said.

Police were called to the Hamilton Green Apartments at about 7:21 a.m. on March 2, officials said. Kevin Schmalz, 28, was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound, authorities said.

Authorities said there is no threat to the public. No further details were shared.
