Mosquito Ground Spray In Hammonton Friday Morning
The Atlantic County Office of Mosquito Control will conduct spraying in two areas of Hammonton early Friday morning.
HAMMONTON, NJ — The Atlantic County Office of Mosquito Control has scheduled a ground spray for two areas of Hammonton as part of the county’s ongoing efforts to control adult mosquitoes and reduce the spread of mosquito-borne illness.
The ground spray application will take place, weather permitting, between 4:30 and 6:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 27, using Zenivex, the trade name for etofenprox, applied as an ultra-low volume aerosol.
The first area to be treated is bounded by North Chew Road, North 1st Road, Orchard Street SW, Railroad Avenue and 13th Street. The second area to be treated is bounded by Moss Mill Road, Lakeview Drive, Lakeshore Drive, Lakeview Drive, Route 30 and Route 640.

The Environmental Protection Agency does not require people to relocate or take special precautions during mosquito control spraying. The public may choose to avoid or minimize exposure by staying indoors during application; keeping windows shut; window fans and air conditioning off or set to circulate indoor air; keeping children’s toys indoors; keeping pets and their food, water dishes and toys indoors.
