Repeated Sex Assaults Of Young Girl Nets Galloway Man Prison Sentence
The assaults began when the girl, now 16, was 5-years-old, and the man, now 24, was about 13, authorities said.
GALLOWAY, NJ — A Galloway man will spend 35 years in prison after he spent several years sexually assaulting a young girl, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said.
The 24-year-old man, whose name was not released to protect the victim, was convicted of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, showing obscene material to a minor and endangering the welfare of a child following a jury trial last July.
The victim, now 16, testified at the trial that he sexually assaulted her in the family home starting when she was 5-years-old to the age of 12, authorities said. He would have been about 13-years-old when it started.

She told authorities of the abuse when she was 14. The case was investigated by Egg Harbor Township police, who got a confession from the Galloway man.
His sentence is subject to both the Jessica Lunsford Act, which requires a minimum sentence of 15 years for the sexual assault of someone under the age of 13, and the No Early Release Act, which means he will not be eligible for parole until he has served nearly 30 years of his sentence.

He will also be subject to Parole Supervision for Life and Megan's Law registration upon his release from prison.
