Shooting Threats Follow Argument At South Jersey Bowling Alley: Cops

Three were charged after a bowling alley fight led to a man grabbing a gun from his car and threatening to shoot people inside, police say.

EGG HARBOR TWP., NJ — Three people were charged after a man threatened to shoot people with a stolen gun inside a South Jersey bowling alley when a fight escalated, Egg Harbor Township police said.

Officers were called to King Pin Lanes shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday, according to a news release. Two men had been fighting when one left to grab a handgun from his vehicle in the lot and then came back inside the bowling alley, police said. He was accompanied by several other people inside the business.

As police were en route, they learned that the man was trying to leave, and got a description of his vehicle.

When officers arrived, they found the vehicle in the rear parking lot and a "high-risk" stop was conducted before it was able to leave.

"Our communications center played an integral role in ensuring that the other patrons of the business were kept inside by management while police navigated the incident," police said.

A loaded gun was found inside the car and all three people inside were taken into custody, police said. That gun was reported stolen out of Ohio.

Shuaib Wright, 19, of Egg Harbor Township; Aziz Coley-Wilson, 20, of Atlantic City; and Mikel Jones, 18, of Atlantic City were all charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, large capacity ammunition magazine, receiving stolen property, terroristic threats and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
