Firefighters, Police Commended for Assistance With Fiery Wreck

The borough plans to commend all the emergency volunteers and personnel who assisted in the earlier this month during a special presentation planned at the Tuesday night council meeting.
That Saturday morning claimed the life of a whose tractor trailer veered off the highway, slammed into the Route 17 office complex, bursting into flames and igniting the building.
Along with Hasbrouck Heights volunteer fire fighters and police department, fire crews from Wood-Ridge, Wallington, Lodi and Carlstadt responded to the scene. The Teaneck Fire Department's Box 54 Unit had also been called in.
