The Health Department is accepting registration for its second annual blood screening which is set for Thursday, March 24, from 7 to 9 a.m. at borough hall.
The program is open to all. The cost is $20 (cash only) for a blood chemistry profile which will consist of a chem. 23, lipid profile, CBC and T4 (thyroid). A copy of the results will be sent directly to the participant and his or her private medical doctor.
Other screenings will be available at additional charge which includes PSA (prostate specific antigen) a blood screening tool which can detect prostate cancer in males. The cost for this screening is $30 (cash only). A Vitamin D25, OH, total screening can also be done for $30.
Registration and payment must be made in advance at the health department located in the municipal complex on the Boulevard between the hours of 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
