Alleged Robber Pretends to be UPS Delivery Man in Hoboken Apartment

A 29-year-old Hoboken resident on downtown Adams Street in Hoboken, woke up on Thursday morning to find a man standing in his kitchen, police said.

When the resident approached the intrudor around 10 a.m. on Thursday, the alleged robber said "It's OK, I work for UPS and I have two packages for you," according to the police report. When the resident told the intrudor he didn't see any packages, he asked the intrudor to leave, police said.

According to the police, the intrudor had no visible weapons on him.

After leaving the apartment, the intrudor was seen walking north on Adams Street, and the victim followed him to ask where his UPS truck was, according to the report.

The alleged robber then started to jog away, at which point the apartment's resident called 9-1-1, police said.

Police did a search for the area, but were unable to find the man. No arrests were made.
