Alleged Shoplifter Escapes While Waiting for Hoboken Police

Not even $70 worth of razors will save this hairy situation. 

On Sunday night around 7 o'clock at the Rite Aide on uptown Willow Avenue in Hoboken, police responded to a report of an alleged shoplifter, according to reports. 

The store's manager told police that he had caught the man red-handed in the store's parking lot after he saw the alleged thief take $70 worth of razors from one of the store's aisles, according to reports.

When the manager told him that the police had been called, the alleged shoplifter walked over to the cookie aisle, opened a bag of cookies and ate one, police said. He then proceeded to walk out the store's back door, according to reports. The alleged shoplifter had left just minutes before the police arrived, according to the report. 

All the stolen items were returned to the store and no arrests were made.
