Assemblyman Ramos Becomes Chair of Gaming Committee

All new legislation about gaming and gambling will come go through this committee.

Assemblyman Ruben Ramos Jr. has been made the chairman of the Regulatory Oversight and Gaming Committee in the state assembly.

In a statement, sent out on Thursday evening, Ramos said he would "support the gaming and casino industries while protecting the interests of New Jersey’s taxpayers."

After last November's referendumas well as this week's changes are expected to the state's gaming rules.

As chairman, Ramos——will be in charge of what bills the committee prepares, in charge of helping shape the bills and will also determine which issues the committee will address.
