Baby Parade Returns To Hoboken

A long line of cute children will be paraded along the waterfront Sunday.

Among the many parades Hoboken is known for—, , , pet—the annual Baby Parade may very well be the one parents look forward to most every year.  

For nine years now, throngs of parents have dressed up their children and paraded them along the waterfront.

This will also be the case on Sunday, starting at 1 p.m. along the waterfront. Registration starts at noon, at Frank Sinatra Park (Sinatra Drive and Fifth Street).

And for the competitive parents out there, fear not! This parade is also a competition. Trophies will be awarded for Best Dressed Child, Most Creative Carriage, and Best Dressed Family. According to the Hoboken Historical Museum—the organizer of the event—the best dressed family category has been awarded to twins and triplets, families with multiple children, cousins, and even playgroups.
