Celebrate Black History Month at Hoboken Boys and Girls Club

15th annual Richard Hicks Black Youth Empowerment Luncheon will be held Saturday.

The 15th annual Richard Hicks Black Youth Empowerment Luncheon will be held Saturday at the Hoboken Boys and Girls Club.

The event, which will run from 1:30 to 4 p.m., will recognize:

  • Sen. Sandra Cunningham (Thomas Mundy Award)
  • Advocate Patricia Waiters (Cynthia Willis Award)
  • Coach Vinny Johnson (David Little Award)
  • Terrance Gilyard (Youth of the Year Award)
  • Jasmin Vergara (Leadership of the Year Award)
"It is critical that we continue to empower our youth and celebrate the excellence and accomplishments of African American role model," Hoboken Housing Authority Executive Director Garcia said.
