Service Restored After Water Main Break In Hoboken
Crews responded to a water main break in Hoboken on Tuesday morning that flooded one block and diverted buses.
HOBOKEN, NJ — Crews have restored service to homes and businesses in western Hoboken after a water main break Tuesday morning, though repairs are still underway.
The break at Fifth and Clinton caused flooding near the Church Towers complex (see photo above), and NJ Transit was forced to divert some buses.
Traffic impacts are also still ongoing, officials said.

"Clinton Street is closed between Fourth and Sixth due to a water main break. Hoboken OEM and Hoboken police are on the scene," the city posted. "Buses are being diverted. Veolia Water is on the way. Please avoid the area."
At 11:30 a.m., Veolia Water said that pressure had stabilized system-wide after crews isolated the break in the 12-inch main. The water utility is continuing to work with the city and the Office of Emergency Management throughout the day.

NJ Transit wrote that 126 buses to New York that normally pass the area would instead use Willow Avenue, Fourth Street, Observer Highway, Washington Street, and Newark Street.
