Hoboken Fireworks Display On Hudson River Moved To Sunday (UPDATE)
For those rattled by "surprise" fireworks on the Hudson River: Here are details of this weekend's event in Hoboken.

HOBOKEN, NJ — The Hoboken Italian Festival finishes up this Sunday. It's an annual tradition that's now in its 98th year.

Besides live music, food, crafts, and demonstrations (find out more here), the festival will hold a fireworks display around 9:15 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, at Pier A Park on the city's south waterfront. The display was moved from Saturday due to the weather.

In previous years, residents of New York City and Hoboken both have wondered about the "surprise" fireworks.
One year, the festival canceled theirs out of respect for the Sept. 11 anniversary, but someone else in New York City had a display.

Hoboken Italian Festival Closes Roads
Because of the festival, held along the south waterfront, Sinatra Drive will be closed between Newark and Fourth Streets for 24 hours from Thursday, Sept. 5 until Monday, Sept. 9 at 5 a.m.
The city noted, "Please be advised, on Saturday there will be a procession through the streets of Hoboken, which will cause intermittent road closures starting at 12 p.m."
The city said:
- Temporary No Parking signs have been posted and Hoboken police officers will assist with detours during festival hours.
- Access to local parking garages will be maintained.
