Former Stevens Prez Highest Paid in State
The Chronicle of Higher Education released a list of salaries of presidents of private universities.

Former President Harold Raveche was the highest paid private university president in the state in 2009, according to a recently released list by the Chronicle of Higher Education.
Raveche, who served as the school's president for 12 years and left in 2010, earned $1,207,249 in 2009. In 2009 Raveche was also sued for financial misconduct, and for allegedly being responsible for a major reduction of the school's endowment.

Second on the list of highest paid university presidents in New Jersey is Princeton University's Shirley Tilghman, who earned $910,626 in 2009.
President of nearby St. Peter's College in Jersey City Eugene Cornacchia earned $270,642 in 2009, number eight in the state.
