Four Women Charged With Assault In Hoboken Fight: Police

Several people were charged with assault in connection with fights in Hoboken this month, including one involving 4 women, police said.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Several people were charged with assault in connection with fights in Hoboken in early October, according to police reports.

Police said that on Oct. 6, around 3:10 a.m., Police Officers Andrias Bonilla and Kyle Seper responded to the area of Newark and Hudson streets on a report of four people fighting.

They tried to separate the parties, police said. Other police came to assist.

Ultimately, four people were arrested and charged.

Nicole Delhoyo, 22, of Hasbrouck Heights, Kayla Dupoux, 23, of Totowa, and Alexa Stanulis, 24, of Staten Island were charged with simple assault, police said.

Nicole Defranco, 25, of Staten Island was charged with aggravated assault on law enforcement, police said. "Defranco pushed police as they were arresting Stanulis," police said.

All four were taken to Hoboken Police Headquarters, processed, and released with summonses, police said.

In a separate incident that day, just before 8 p.m., Police Officers Frank Losurdo and Michael Bonanno responded to Church Square Park on reports of a fight. A man who was bleeding from his cheek told them he had been assaulted by a woman.

Police identified the woman as Patricia Lavacchi, 50, of Union City. Police took her to Hoboken Police Headquarters. She was charged with simple assault, processed, and released with a summons and a court date, police said.

The next day, at approximately 6:45 a.m., Police Officers Anthony Ingraffia and Enrico Gnassi responded to the Hoboken Shelter, 300 Bloomfield St., on reports of someone needing to be removed from the premises. An investigation revealed two people were involved in an argument and one, later identified as Kevin Belmont, 39, of Hoboken, allegedly sprayed pepper spray into the other person's eyes, police said.

Police found Belmont outside, took the pepper spray, and arrested him, they said.

At headquarters, police discovered he had an active warrant for theft out of Hoboken, they said.

He was charged with aggravated assault, possession of weapons for unlawful purposes, unlawful possession of weapons, and hindering. He was taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
