Greased Lighting Hits Hoboken Junior Senior School

The Hoboken Junior Senior School Theater Company will perform the iconic musical "Grease" this February.

Pull on a poodle skirt and practice your hand jive! The Hoboken Junior Senior School Theater Company will perform the musical “Grease” this February.

With classic hits like “Greased Lighting” and “You’re the One that I Want,” the musical has captured the hearts of Greasers and Pink Ladies for miles around.

The Hoboken students (pictured rehearsing) will perform “Grease” the weekend of Friday, Feb. 6.

“’Grease’ is a wonderful show that everyone can enjoy,” School Media Specialist Michelle McGreivey, said. Tickets are $7 for general admission, $5 for students, and $3 for senior citizens.

About the Musical

Set in the 1950s, “Grease” follows several high school teens as they deal with social issues and relationships, McGreivey explained. Danny, the leader of the Burger Palace Boys, has a summer romance with Sandy, a girl who just moved to town. The two struggle to rekindle their summer love when Sandy shows up on the first day of school. Will they be together? Will someone else end up with Danny? Who knows! See the show to find out.
