Gucci Purse and iPhones Allegedly Stolen in Hoboken

Note to self: never leave your Gucci bag unattended.

On Wednesday, around noon, a 26-year-old woman placed her Gucci purse on a machine, before working out at Club H along the Hoboken waterfront. After a few minutes she had to go to the bathroom and left the purse on the machine, according to police reports.

When she returned, the purse—valued at $1,200—was gone, police said. Also stolen was her iPhone 4S—valued at $400—and the keys to a black Mercedes, police said.

About the same time, but uptown Hoboken in the foyer of 1201 Hudson St., another iPhone was allegedly stolen. A 35-year-old Hoboken woman was charging her phone in the building when she took her child to the bathroom in the Starbucks located in that same building, police said.

When she returned, police said, the phone—an iPhone 3G, worth $300—was gone.
