Hazardous Weather Outlook for Hoboken

A six-hour rainstorm is quickly approaching over the area.

Hobokenites can expect heavy rainfall on Tuesday night and sharp winds as high as 40 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service.

The rain and wind are supposed to land until later on Tuesday night, leaving colder temperatures on Wednesday morning.

The weather could cause some delays during the afternoon commute into New Jersey.

From the National Weather Service:

Late Afternoon: Rain. High near 50. East wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Tonight: Rain and possibly a thunderstorm before midnight, then a slight chance of rain between midnight and 2am. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Low around 41. Breezy, with a south wind 14 to 24 mph becoming west. Winds could gust as high as 34 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 43. Breezy, with a west wind between 14 and 24 mph.
