Hoboken Changes Street Sweeping, Will Hold Morning Service For Veterans Day
Sweet sweeping rules and other changes have been made for Veterans Day Monday, and a memorial service will be held.

HOBOKEN, NJ — The annual Hoboken Veterans Day Memorial Service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m., the city said.
The event is traditionally held at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, which is when The Armistice, an agreement to end the fighting in World War I, began in 1918.
The service, hosted by Hoboken American Legion Post 107 and Hoboken Elks Lodge 74, will take place at the World War I Memorial located near the basketball courts in Elysian Park at 11th and Hudson streets.

Everyone is invited to attend, the city said.
The city also said, "In recognition of Veterans Day, municipal offices will be closed on Monday, street sweeping will be suspended, and Hop shuttle service will be suspended. All other parking regulations will remain in effect."

Recycling will occur as regularly scheduled.
The public schools are open.
