Hoboken University Medical Center To Change 911 Dispatch Service
The City Council supports the switch in 9-1-1 dispatch services.

The is looking to change its 911 dispatch operations. The City Council on Wednesday night showed its support for the measure in a unanimous vote to support the change.
The hospital's current dispatching operations center is Ocean County-based Monoc Service. The hospital is looking to change it to the Bayonne-based McCabe E-911 Dispatch Center.
About 3,000 911 calls are placed in Hoboken per year, which comes down to about eight or nine calls a day.

Hospital Spokeswoman Joan Quigley said on Wednesday that the new 911 dispatch will pick up all patients, regardless of their insurance.
"We don't ask 'what's your insurance,'" Quigley said about the hospital. "We ask 'what's your problem?'"
