Hoboken: Issues 2012
Now that 2011 is as good as over, what issues are we looking forward to in Hoboken in 2012?

, it's time to take a look at what lies ahead.
After the midnight toast, kiss and ball drop—and the potential New Year's Day hangover —what issues will arise in the new year? It's anyone's guess, but here are some issues that will likely arise, and Hoboken Patch will be there to report on them.
- Hoboken's parks: Open space in Hoboken will surely be an ongoing issue in the new year. This year, the city has to buy a piece of property in the Southwestern part of town—the Fourth Ward—The city has also promised to open the uptown soccer field on 1600 Park, which was initially scheduled to open this year.
- Hoboken's Food Trucks:Three of Hoboken's popular trucks have indicated that they are leaving, while a new truck—Molly's Milktruck—will arrive in town. What will Hoboken's food truck community look like?
- St. Patrick's Day: While a date has not yet been set for the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade, But with the holiday on a Saturday, it's possible that green-beer induced mayhem will arise in Hoboken anyway.
- Downtown Development: and will ground be broken on the project? Before this all can happen, a finalized plan has to come before the planning board.
- Email Fraud Investigation:
- Elections: It's Hoboken, so you're invited to go to the polls at least twice in 2012. Once in March, for the annual School Board Elections. You're back in 2012 for the general presidential election, as well as a vote for current U.S. Senator Bob Menendez, who is up for re-election.
