Hoboken Library Unveils New Creation Space

The makerspace will feature cutting edge technology, classes, workshops, and more to help Hoboken residents unleash their creative side.

This week, the Hoboken Public Library unveiled the Creation Space, a unique environment that will nurture creativity and foster learning and education. The makerspace will feature cutting edge tools, software, and equipment to help Hoboken residents of all ages grow, learn and create.

According to the Hoboken Public Library, the new Creation Space will also showcase collaborative projects and serve as a space for classes. Workshops and classes will be taught by library staff and volunteers. A complete list of tools and equipment available at the Creation Space is listed below. The space is open for general use on Mondays.

The Creation Space tools that will be offered are:
Makerbot Replicator II 3D Printer
Makerbot 3D Scanner
3D modeling software
Arduino Starter kits
Makey Makey kits
Photography Station: SLR Digital Camera, laptop with Photoshop, Inkjet printer, green screen and photography lighting.
Music Recording Station: Macbook Pro with GarageBand, midi keyboard, mixer, microphones and headphones.
LEGO educational kits,
Roominate Dollhouse Building kits
Snap Circuits Jr. Kits
Pinback Button Makers
Cooking equipment (class use only)
