HOBOKEN, NJ — A Hoboken community meeting in response to an assault at Church Square Park on Oct. 31 was just given a new date by the city.

Community members have been concerned since the incident, in which a man in the park — seemingly at random — knocked a nanny unconscious and then hit another man, while schoolchildren played nearby.

The man, Troy Timberlake, 31, had been arrested at least twice in Hoboken in 2024, and now remains incarcerated.

A community meeting in response to the attack had been scheduled for last week, but was postponed after City Council President Jen Giattino unexpectedly passed away that week.

That meeting will now be held this coming Monday, both in person and online. The link is below.
