
It's time to party with the police.
On Tuesday night, the Hoboken Police Department will hold its annual National Night Out between Second and Fourth Streets on Harrison Street between 5 and 9 p.m.
The event is open to all Hoboken residents and is supposed to heighten crime and drug awareness; generate support fo local anti crime programs; develop a partnership between the neighborhood and police and sending the message that criminals aren't welcome in the neighborhood, according to a press release from the police department.

There will be activities in the evening—such as Zumba, give aways from local sports teams and free BBQ and Rita's ices—and events for small children between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
"This will be a great day for the children and people of Hoboken to let everyone know our city is a safe place to live, work and play," said Police Chief Anthony Falco.
